At Covenant, the joy of reading is not limited to the classroom but overflows into the home. The Lower School Covenant Eagles were able to “Dive into an Ocean of Books” at this year’s I:55 Book Fair.
As they “swam” through the aisles of undersea wonder, the students created wish lists, shopped for books, and even gifted books to teachers for their classroom libraries.
Second-grade parents led in creating the theme and decorations of our Birdwood Campus library. A lively team of additional parent volunteers helped students as they shopped and explored books of a variety of genres of good, true, and beautiful books.
The Covenant School values the written word and authentic reading experiences where children are able to turn the pages of new publications as well as timeless classics. All proceeds from the I:55 book sale benefit Covenant readers.
