2025-2026 Middle School Math Teacher (Grade 6)

The Covenant School, an independent Christian Liberal Arts & Sciences school in Charlottesville, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic educator to teach sixth-grade math for the 2025-26 school year. Our school, which serves over 750 students from Pre-K through Grade 12, is a gospel-centered community of faith and learning, rooted in the Western Liberal Arts tradition, and focused on the formation of the whole person—mind, body, and soul. Our faculty leads with an incarnational approach that seeks to equip and inspire students to live well through service to God and others.

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics, coupled with a deep commitment to Christian education and the Liberal Arts tradition. They should be passionate about working with adolescents, able to connect with them on a personal level, and dedicated to fostering their holistic development as individuals created in the image of God. The candidate must be capable of inspiring a love of learning in students and cultivating their critical thinking skills. Additionally, they should have a genuine enthusiasm for professional growth, academic excellence, and the ability to collaborate effectively with our team of middle school faculty.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, education, or a related field
  • Proven experience teaching middle school students
  • Strong ability to integrate their Christian faith authentically in the context of their teaching
