Speech/Language Pathologist - Lower School

The Covenant School is seeking a licensed Speech/Language Pathologist for the 2024-25 school year at our Birdwood Campus (PreK - Grade 5).

The Speech/Language Pathologist will collaborate closely with the Head of Lower School and the Academic Support Coordinator to assess and provide services to students in need. Additionally, the SLP will work in partnership with faculty and staff to support student needs within the classroom setting.

Primary Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and enhance students' speech and language skills to support their personal, social, and intellectual growth.
  • Create a positive learning environment, responding to the unique needs of each student.
  • Ensure all practices align with school guidelines.
  • Communicate and collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to effectively address student needs.
  • Uphold and promote the school's mission and vision.
  • Assist in training faculty and staff through modeling and guidance to better support students both inside and outside the classroom. 
The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree and current licensure in Speech/Language Pathology or a related field, along with a strong commitment to Christian education and the Liberal Arts tradition. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to connect with students, enthusiasm for professional growth and student well-being, and a desire to authentically share their Christian faith in their role.
